I’ve been told in the past that I sweat too much. 💦💦💦
True story! Someone has said actually that to me. But that’s besides the point. The reason I wanted to get the treatment is because I’m a girl on the go that likes to go from working out to going out to hanging out. I was super excited to have the opportunity to SWEAT LESS because I’m constantly moving, teaching online group fitness classes, and dancing on the daily.

My miraDry experience at the DuPont Institute was incredible and even better than I could hope for! The DuPont Aethestics Institute staff was so upbeat, fun, and personable. Lainey, Lily, and Alexandra escorted me to my room as soon as I arrived and kept me laughing and smiling the entire time I was there. They informed me about what to do post-procedure and made the experience completely memorable.
Dr. DuPont was kind, caring, knowledgeable, and professional! She turned on her procedure playlist & went to work! Dr. DuPont’s “eclectic” playlist might have been the most memorable part of the experience. She talked about the first green song, sang Patti Page’s how much is that doggie in the window, and talked about how the millennials in the room needed to watch The Bodyguard with Kevin Costner & Whitney Houston (myself included). It was apparent how deeply she cares about improving quality of life for her patients and their happiness moving forward.
More details about the treatment:
⚡️The numbing process takes about 30 minutes before the procedure starts
⚡️ Your armpit is marked to show the correct area (ink is placed to mark the underarm area & removed after the procedure)
⚡️More numbing happens with an injection. We joked about how getting an armpit shot would feel, and it actually is not bad at all! Just a little pitch.
⚡️Next is the actual miraDry procedure. It’s basically a machine that’s vacuumed or suction cupped to your armpits.
⚡️Each arm takes a little under 20 minutes.
⚡️Dr. DuPont’s staff gave me miraDry icepacks for my arms & I walked out of the office and drove home!
Overall the treatment only took about an hour & half, was painless, and I went right back to my day afterwards.

6 weeks ago I experienced the #miradry treatment at @dupontaesthetics! My treatment experience was better than I could have asked for and I’m so thankful for the team at @dupontaesthetics! (read all about it in my previous post or on my blog)
It’s pretty crazy how WELL this treatment WORKS and almost immediately after the office visit. The #miradry treatment is specifically for your underarms and it reduces sweat, odor, and hair in that specific area. It’s true, I’m officially sweating less (or not at all) under my arms! Other perks include minimal hair growth & reduced odor! Love it.
Ok here’s my post treatment experience by the week:
Week 1: VERY sore and very swollen. My underarms/bicep/triceps were very swollen for the first week. Ice rotation & abs massages are necessary. I also needed Ibuprofen to help me sleep that first night. I had some bruising under my arms as well. The bruising was minimal. I still felt completely comfortable wearing tank tops and sleeveless tops.
Week 2: Swelling went down! YAY! My triceps were abnormally & extremely sore. Some bruising still lingered.
Week 3: No more soreness or swelling. I felt dense lumps in my armpits that kind of freaked me out. I contacted the office and they said that was normal and advised me to massage under my arms.
Week 4: The lumps were still there but did not irritate me.
Week 5-6: Feeling like my arms are completely back to normal as far as swelling, bumps, and bruising goes!
I absolutely love my results of the miradry treatment! No sweat, less order, and less hair growth—yes please. I always want to be completely transparent with my community (especially if you’re planning on receiving the treatment), so that’s why I wanted to go into a little more detail post-treatment!
FAQ: Does it interrupt how you sweat on the rest of your body? My experience, no. I’m still sweating like normal on the rest of my body. LOL
